Selah Marley Has No Shame Despite Backlash Over 'White Lives Matter' Shirt
Selah Marley has responded to criticism following her appearance at Kanye West's Yeezy Season 9 presentation in Paris earlier this week.
West has received a lot of flak for wearing a shirt with the wording
At the event, the rapper was also seen with Black conservative commentator Candace Owens, who was wearing an identical shirt.
West's activities were denounced by colleagues in the music and fashion industries, including Jaden Smith and rapper Boosie Badazz.
Tremaine Emory, the creative director of Supreme, and Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, the stylist and fashion editor of Vogue, have both taken issue with the rapper.
He replied by doubling deeper, calling the Black Lives Matter movement a "scam" in an Instagram post.
Since then, the family of Ahmaud Arbery, who was murdered in a racially motivated hate crime in 2020, has criticised West's action.
Wanda Cooper-Jones, Arbery's mother, spoke out in response to West's conduct, expressing "great displeasure."
