BMW Motorrad has wrapped up the updated iteration of its flagship – the S1000RR. The newly unveiled 2023 BMW S1000RR unveils a host of cosmetic, performance and technological enhancements to maintain its fan following among enthusiasts. The latest iteration of the Bavarian marque’s flagship superbike continues to compete with its outgoing rivals, but with a new arsenal up its sleeves, it is now expected to offer tougher competition. Starting first with design updates, it now gets a massive nose spoiler that remains standard across the range.
In addition, the super sports motorcycle continues the sharp bodywork with a pair of slim LED headlights. Coming back to the winglets, they help the BMW S1000RR 2023 with 10kg of downforce. To offer riders better wind protection, the updated S1000RR even features a taller windshield.
The electronic instruments on the BMW S1000RR are also updated. It gets a hill hold feature, a USB charger along with a pit lane limiter. The most important addition to the electronic stack is the new Slide Assist function, which allows the rider to lock the rear wheel and enter a corner.
BMW has also tweaked the suspension tuning of the 2023 S1000RR and it will be sold in a total of three variants – M, Sport and Standard. Now arriving for mechanical revisions, the 999cc, 4-cylinder powerplant is capable of pushing out 206.7bhp of peak power, an increase of 2bhp over its predecessor. The engine also features ShiftCam technology while borrowing larger intake ports from the M1000RR. Speaking of the bike’s arrival on Indian shores, expect it to hit our shores early next year with a higher price tag than the outgoing model.
