TikTok’s viral Pink Sauce Available on Walmart, Check Details

The fluorescent condiment, which garnered millions of TikTok views when it was first mentioned on the app in June 2022, is set to roll out in no less than 4,300 Walmart stores across the United States after Chef Pie, the sauce’s maker, announced the launch of the sauce. Partnered with Dave’s Gourmet LLC.

It comes nearly six months after the sauce became embroiled in controversy over the safety and distribution of the product.

After Pink Sauce went viral in June, Chef Pie (@chef.pii) shipped bottles of the product from their online store. However, as previously reported by passion fruit, There was a flood of concerns and complaints.

Some viewers pointed out that in the earlier video, the sauce did not have a nutrition label. Others expressed concern that the product appeared to be prepared in a home kitchen and sometimes ranged in color from hot pink to minty pink. Alleged customers on both TikTok and Twitter also complained that the bottles of sauce they ordered were spoiled or damaged.

“I guess when you’re great, you can’t make mistakes, but, I mean, yeah. My team is working fast to fix the issues,” Chef Pie told Passionfruit in July 2022. said in an interview with. “We had some delays in getting into our facility and things like that. We had shipment issues. However, we are working fast to fix all the problems.”

According to a press release provided to Passionfruit by a spokesperson for Dave’s Gourmet, this is where the hot sauce brand came from.

The press release stated, “Chef Pie and Dave’s Gourmet entered into an exclusive partnership whereby Dave’s Gourmet assumes responsibility as the exclusive supplier and distributor of Pink Sauce.” “Chef Pies continues to drive social media and other aspects of Pink Sauce.”

The product, the release adds, is being produced “on a commercial scale” in accordance with US Food and Drug Administration guidelines in a safe quality food [SQF] certified facility.

But that doesn’t mean Chef Pie isn’t busy. According to the release, vegetarian and vegan versions of the infamous sauce are also being produced after Chef Pai developed the recipe “in her Miami kitchen.”

Priced at $9.99, Pink Sauce will be exclusive to Walmart until July 2023.

Passionfruit Chef reached out to PII and Walmart for comment via email and did not hear back in time for this article’s publication.
