7 Easy Steps to Create a Facebook Business Page

Facebook has become the largest social networking site worldwide. It’s a great place to promote your business, sell your products and attract new customers. If you want to put your site on Facebook, I recommend you start with creating a Facebook business page. It allows you to be categorized as an official business, so more of your potential clients will see your content.

For me, the option to create a Facebook Page is a good way to communicate with my clients, and get the business of customers that want to engage in a discussion about problems related to their work or minor personal problems.

There are plenty of people with thousands of friends, who are just waiting for someone to invite them to your business page. Obviously, all those people are potential customers and potential leads.

7 Easy Steps on How to create a Facebook business page are as follows:

Log in to Facebook using your personal profile

You must first log into your personal Facebook account, since Facebook business pages are made using personal Facebook accounts.

Now click the flag icon in the top menu bar once you open Facebook in a browser. Then select Create New Page from the menu on the left. You’ll be sent directly to the Create a Page pop-up on Facebook. There are two-page categories you can choose from: “Business or Brand” and “Community or Public Figure.” The majority of the companies selects either Business or Brand.

Write the name, description of your business and choose category

Now fill some basic details about your business. Your business page’s name should be mentioned on Facebook. Your actual business name need to match this. Otherwise, people get confused.

Select a business category now that best describes the products or services your company provides. If your company is involved in comedy, music, movies, etc., for instance, choose entertainment.

Please provide a brief overview of your company in the description box. Considering that you only have 255 characters to work with, this is an excellent spot to highlight your USP. In the About area at the very top of your page, the description will be visible. When you’re done, click the Create Page button.

Add a profile and cover image

After you successfully created a page, you’ll see several new options, but that’s not the end. Upload a profile picture that reflects your company so that people can quickly recognize it and connect with you.

While selecting the profile picture, always keep in mind to select a perfect square shaped profile picture because Facebook advises to use a square picture. Examples include your logo, a product, your location, or your own picture if the created page belongs to you.

A profile picture can’t tell much about your business, but in this step you can tell your customers much more about your business. In this step, you will add a cover image to your Facebook business page.

To provide customers additional information about your business, pick a cover photo. Your cover image may display a variety of your products, a view of your shop, a picture of your staff, or a current special discount offer. You should aim to update your cover photo frequently, even though it’s a good idea to keep your profile picture constant.

Facebook suggests using an image with a resolution of 1640 x 856 pixels. Toggle between the two views with the toggle in the top-right corner. To continue the simple page setting step, click the Save button.

Note: The cover image appears differently on desktop and mobile.

Add more business information to help customers understand

Find “About” in the menu on the left and click it. You will include information in this section that informs readers about your business, such as your contact information and your menu or offerings. Include any relevant information, including your website, business hours, and contact details.

Given Facebook’s domain authority, it’s not unusual for a company’s Facebook page to rank better in organic search than its website. Keeping this in mind, it’s critical to complete all information because it might serve as a prospective customer’s initial introduction to your company.

Create page username (Most Important)

The first thing you should do after setting up your page is select a username. The ideal username would contain all or a portion of your domain name or business name. To make it simple for people to find and tag your business on social media, it should also be uniform across all platforms.

Enter the desired username by clicking the Create @Username link. Since usernames must be distinct, if the handle is already in use, an error message will appear. Click the Create Username button when you’ve found one that works.

Make a Call-to-Action Button Available on Your Page

A call-to-Action Button is displayed in the upper right corner of your business page, under your cover image. This acts as your Facebook page’s cost-free call to action (CTA).

A pertinent one for your company might help in generating more leads, which can enhance revenue. To achieve this, use the blue “+ Add a Button” option located beneath your cover image on the left side of your website.

The following button options are available to you: Book with You, Contact You, Learn More, Shop, or Download. Choose a button type that works best for your company.

Expand your Business by inviting people

You can now use your page and expand your audience. At the top of your page, click the Create Post option. Take advantage of the opportunity to welcome friends and clients and tell them about your Facebook business page, so they can learn how you can help them.

Start sending out invites to your Facebook business page. To invite friends, family, coworkers, and other work colleagues to follow your page, click the Invite Friends button.

Conclusion

Facebook business page requires foresight, but if you follow these simple steps, you’ll be well on your way to another successful marketing campaign. Creating a Facebook Business Page is basically a marketing tactic to create awareness and build business trust. A Facebook business page is a great way to promote your company, product/services.
